Each school is given 150 points to offer to players to lure them to their school. Those points are used for personal gain. A school cannot use more than 150. If they do, the last player they recruited is released from the school and is then free to sign wherever else they like. They may re-sign with the same school, as long as the points still aren't over 150. Whatever amount of points the school gives to a player is the amount that the player has each year to spend. Schools are given 150 more points each year to spend on each recruiting class. A maximum of 20 points may be given to each player. Recruits aren't officially signed until they post their Letter Of Intent (LOI) in the designated thread.
Every student has the possibility of walking on. Walk-ons receive 5 recruiting points each year to spend that do not count against the school's 150 point budget. Walk-ons may transfer schools at any point in time during the off-season without penalty.
If a school has 6 recruiting points or left out of their budget, they can offer recruiting points to only 1 more player, who will receive 6 points, no matter how many they have left.
A school also has 3 full scholorships and 3 half scholorships to offer. Scholorships go towards a player's books/tuition, which means that it helps with their awareness. The amount is specified in the training thread. Scholorships cannot be taken away by a school. They belong to a player for all 4 years, and schoools aren't given 3 more each year. That means if all 6 are used in one year, they have none to give the next year. Scholorships do not give cumulative bonuses. One time deal of +10.
Players that have full-scholorships that decide to transfer schools must sit out 2 games at the beginning of the next season. They lose any benefits they had from the scholorship for the next year. If the team offers them a scholorship in their 2nd year of play at the new school, they can accept it, and receive the benefits once more. If no scholorship is offered the 2nd year, they still dont' have the benefits.
Players with half scholorships that decide to transfer have to sit out 1 game at the beginning of the next season. They may receive a half scholorship again the next season, but not a full scholorship until their 2nd year of play at the new school. If no scholorship is offered, they lose the benefits. In other words, no scholorship = no benefits.
Teams can also offer starting roles and/or amounts of playing time. The teams must follow through on the guarentees, or they will be docked 5 points per guarentee that is broken. Guarentees can range from offering a starting role as a freshman to a starting role as a senior, or starting 3 games in a season.
There is also a set time a team can start recruiting in the off-season to make it fair to everyone. S1 it will start when we have a decent amount of recruits, around 20.
*All suggestions welcomed.
