Nidoran you can use a something stone (moon again I think)
Magikarp you use can use a stone too

That's why you use the stone on him.. the earlier the level the quicker Garydos gets some attacks in (thought pretty much useless)

No. Magikarp has to get to level 30, but can't attack. It's level 20. I would always buy the one for $500 so I could get a head start on training it. Gyrados was well worth it, but I would only do it when I didn't take Squirtle.

All Magikarp could do was Splash, which was useless. You also couldn't teach it anything. You had to slowly build him up by throwing him out there, then switching him. The trick was to switch him in during battles with trainers, as those fights resulted in extra Experience Points. Wow I'm a dork.
